Lisa's Story
Lisa Rutledge was a leading model of her time, a face of the Eighties gracing the covers and pages of Australian, Italian and French Vogue, Marie Claire, L’Officiel, Elle, Harpers' and Queen, Harper's Bazaar and W.

During this time she was shot by some of the late Twentieth Century’s greatest photographers – Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh, Arthur Elgort , Scavullo, David Bailey among them – and was captured by Horst in his iconic image “Round the Clock”.

Working with photographers of this calibre gave her a unique perspective on their approaches to light, pictorial composition and (perhaps most importantly) how to relate to and engage with the subject of a photograph, the key to really presenting that person as they really are.

The influence of these photographers provided invaluable instruction for when Lisa moved to the other side of the camera to take up a career as a photographer herself.

Since then her work has been published in The New York Times, Marie Claire, Glamour, Gourmet...

She was also stylist and photographer for two highly popular coffee table books.

Moving back to Sydney after three decades living between Paris, New York and Los Angeles, Lisa has relocated her successful LA photographic business.

She brings that comprehensive and eclectic background to what is now her photographic specialty… wedding photography, with an eye to capturing what is unique and distinctive, intimate and personal in a couple’s most significant day.
